Oscar nominated directors, animators, actors, screenwriters, documentarians and short film specialists will all be on hand this year to share their knowledge with festival audiences. There will also be a number of special Q&A’s with directors after film screenings. More guests and workshops will be announced on our website in the run up to festival so don’t forget to check our news page.
Films with Special Guests
Reservation Road – Director Terry George will introduce the film and participate in a Q&A after the screening. Other special guest to be confirmed.
At Home With the Cleary’s – IFTA Award Winning Directo Alison Millar and Ross Cleary will introduce the film and participate in a Q&A after the screening
Waveriders – Director Joel Conroy and Producer Margo Harkin will introduce the film and participate in a Q&A after the screening. They will also hold a masterclass on the making of Waveriders.
The Farther, The Dearer – Local Director Carol Moore will introduce the screening.
Joy Division – Director Grant Gee will introduce the film and participate in a Q&A after the screening.
Dambé – The Mali Project– Director Dearbhla Glynn and Producer Vanessa Gildea will introduce the screening – special guests are expected to attend the screening.
The English Surgeon – Director Geoffrey Smith and film subject Dr. Henry Marsh will introduce the film and talk about medical ethics and their experiences making this film.
All White in Barking – Director Marc Issacs will introduce the screening and participate in a workshop.
In Prison My Whole Life – There will be a panel discussion after this event with the film’s protagonist William Francome.
The Jammed – There will be a panel discussion after this event
Otto; Or, Up With Dead People – Director Bruce La Bruce will introduce this screening and participate in a Q&A
Our Memory, Truth and Transition programme will host a series of special discussions.
